After reviewing the numbers in the rental car market of Tampa, Miami, and Orlando I decided to raise the price of rentals one dollar across the board in both weekdays and weekends in all three cities. I realized that November is a month that many families are traveling to see friends and family, so the demand is there and the consumer is forced to pay the higher fee.
This strategy worked by renting out 100% of my weekday rentals and 89% of my weekend rentals, and a net income increase of $6,899,623. We also beat the competition by 64,259 unit sales for the month of November.
